About BBL Forever Bare
BBL Forever Bare is Sciton’s next-generation approach to light-based hair removal, offering a fast, effective, and comfortable treatment experience.
It uses broadband light energy (rather than a single wavelength laser) to target the pigment (melanin) within the hair shaft. When the light is absorbed by the hair follicle, it is converted into gentle heat, damaging the follicle and reducing its ability to produce new hair.
Unlike traditional hair removal methods, BBL Forever Bare delivers energy in multiple rapid bursts, evenly heating follicles while keeping the skin cool and protected. This approach minimises discomfort and reduces the risk of adverse reactions, even on sensitive areas.
Common treatment areas include the underarms, bikini line, face, legs, arms, back, and chest.
All treatments are performed by qualified and Radiation Council of WA–registered practitioners using medical-grade Sciton devices under medical supervision.
How BBL Hair Removal Works
BBL Forever Bare directs controlled pulses of light energy into the skin, which selectively target and heat the pigment within active hair follicles. This controlled heating process disrupts the follicle’s ability to regrow hair, leading to gradual reduction over a series of sessions.
Because hair grows in cycles – active (anagen), resting (telogen), and shedding (catagen) – not all hairs can be treated in a single session. Multiple treatments are therefore required to capture hair as it transitions through active growth phases.
Over time, this process results in:
- Progressive reduction of unwanted hair growth
- Softer, finer regrowth (if any)
- Smoother, more even skin texture
BBL hair removal can be used on most skin types, though results and number of sessions vary based on hair colour, skin tone, hormonal factors, and area treated.
