A cause very close to Dr Kate’s heart having lost her wonderful Mum, Linda, to this disease, she is now helping to help raise awareness and support other families who have also been impacted by Pancreatic Cancer.
Specials
Pancreatic cancer is the 10th most commonly diagnosed cancer type in Australia. It has the 5th highest mortality rate in Australia and one of the poorest survival rates of all cancers (5 year survival rate of only 10%). Unfortunately, this has only marginally improved over the last 40 years.
The disease is often diagnosed late due to vague symptoms and there is no formal screening program for early detection. The Pancare foundation desperately needs further support for vital research and to raise community awareness about this silent disease.
If you are unable to attend the cocktail luncheon, but would still like to donate, you can do so here.
Dr Kate invites you to attend the fourth annual Youth Lab X Pancare Luncheon. Together, we will be raising funds for the Pancare Foundation through ticket sales, donations and a silent auction.
With canapés, drinks, guest speakers, live entertainment, a silent auction, a raffle for a stunning Kailis Jewellery piece, and the charm of La Lune, this event will be one to remember.
