What inspired you to become a Cosmetic Registered Nurse?
My mum ran a successful hair salon for as long as I can remember, and my cousins owned a chain of brow bars across the North East of England. It was almost inevitable that I’d find myself in the aesthetics space—it’s in my blood! Cosmetic nursing felt like the perfect combination of my love for beauty and aesthetics with my nursing skills. It’s the ideal fit, and I couldn’t ask for a more fulfilling career.
What was the most challenging part of your training?
During nursing school, you never practise injecting someone’s face, so entering this field came with an entirely new learning curve. I always warn new injectors to be ready for two years of sleepless nights.
You’re mastering a huge amount: detailed facial anatomy, 10–20 different types of products, needles, cannulas, advanced techniques, consultations, and managing realistic expectations with clients. It’s a lot to take in! But as overwhelming as it may seem, the effort is 100% worth it to do what you love every day.

What is your approach to cosmetic injectables?
My approach is always holistic. I focus on the full face, addressing concerns both above and beneath the skin. Whether I’m working with a client I’ve known for years or someone visiting for the first time, I’ll always ask about their skincare routine. I like to see if there’s anything we could add or remove to enhance their results. The truth is, anything I do with a needle will last longer and look better with healthy, glowing skin as the foundation. No one ever says, “I regret looking after my skin!”
What do you love the most about being a Cosmetic Registered Nurse?
I absolutely love working in such a female-dominated environment. While I adore my male patients, it’s incredibly rewarding to work alongside amazing women who come together as a team to pamper and empower other women. It’s a wonderfully supportive and uplifting space to be in.
What is your favourite injectable concern to treat and why?
Right now, I’m loving our skin-based treatments, especially Rejuran. It’s fantastic for treating under-eye areas and acne scars, and the results I’ve been achieving have been so rewarding to see.
What are your favourite products to use on your skin?
My skin is changing all the time especially depending on the season, currently after being pregnant I found that my skin has gone from being a bit oily to more dry. My all time favourite product to use on my skin to cleanse is the Ultraceuticals Brightening Cleanser this is something I use all year around and found it is my ride or die.
Serums that I am currently using are:
AM: Ultraceuticals b2 serum, Skinceuticals CF Serum, Ultraceuticals Daily mattifying SPF moisturiser
PM: Ultraceuticals b2 serum, Ultraceuticals Vitmain A intense booster, Cosmedix eye genius, Cosmedix resync night cream
Once a week I use the Enzyme aspect night mask just to give my skin a good overnight exfoliation and deep clean.
What treatments have you had this year? How can we get skin just like yours?
My personal 12-month treatment plan includes:
- One big annual session, which includes wrinkle relaxer, bio-stimulators, lip filler, and Rejuran—all in one sitting.
- Monthly HydraFacials to keep my skin smooth and hydrated.
- BBL laser treatments every winter for brightening and rejuvenation.
I wasn’t kidding when I said I’m time-poor, but I make it work—and I’m totally fine with a bit of downtime for these results!
What is your favourite thing to do outside of work?
I love cooking and going to the movies—it’s the perfect way to unwind. We also recently got a puppy, so taking her for long, relaxing walks has become one of my favourite things to do.
What is your favourite part of working at Youth Lab?
I love how beautiful the space is; it’s such a joy to welcome clients into an environment that feels luxurious and inviting. On top of that, the cutting-edge technology and retail skincare we have access to allow me to combine my injectable services with tailored skin treatments for incredible results.
What treatment do you see becoming popular in 2025 and beyond?
I think skin-based injectables will continue to rise in popularity. Treatments like Rejuran are only gaining momentum, and there’s already buzz about new bio-stimulators and skin boosters on the horizon. It’s such an exciting time to be in the industry.
What is the one piece of skin advice you wish all of your clients would follow?
I know I sound like a broken record, but sunscreen every day! It’s the single most important step for healthy, beautiful skin, and it makes such a difference.
