What is the purple building on Stirling Highway?
Our purple Claremont clinic display is to raise awareness and honour those whose lives have been impacted by pancreatic cancer. The display was created with help from the team at Power Audio Visual. The installation will be on display until Youth Lab X Pancare Luncheon on October 7th.
Pancreatic cancer is the 10th most commonly diagnosed cancer type in Australia. It has the 5th highest mortality rate in Australia and one of the poorest survival rates of all cancers (5 year survival rate of only 10%). Unfortunately, this has only marginally improved over the last 40 years.
The disease is often diagnosed late due to vague symptoms and there is no formal screening program for early detection. The Pancare foundation desperately needs further support for vital research and to raise community awareness about this silent disease.
The Youth Lab X Pancare Luncheon, an event close to Dr. Kate’s heart, is dedicated to raising awareness and support for families affected by Pancreatic Cancer. Dr. Kate, who lost her mother, Linda, to this disease, passionately leads this initiative.
Taking place in an iconic King St, Perth location, the luncheon promises a luxurious, all-inclusive experience. Attendees will receive a gift bag filled with high-end skincare and more, valued at over $500. The event will kick off with a signature Beyond Distilling cocktail, followed by a delectable three-course dining experience by MI SCUSI Catering, complemented by paired wines from Off The Vine.
Live entertainment, including an acoustic set by Joel Jackson, will keep guests entertained, and MC Rebecca Frost and keynote speaker Cherie Dear will share inspiring insights.
